DOH Kampanya Laban Paputok

Public Information Campaign

All Centers for Health Development should take the lead and implement a public information campaign in their respective region or catchment area for Kampanya Kontra Paputok Activities. They should coordinate with their local radio and TV Network and assign a pool of speakers to promote the prevention of firecracker injuries, especially informing the public about the dangers of using prohibited firecrackers/fireworks and watusi. As per Memorandum of the Firearms and Explosive Division-Philippine National Police(FED-PNP) dated 17 January 2002, WATUSI IS ALREADY BANNED FROM THE MARKET and no longer authorized of the sale of the said firecracker. The slogan for this year’s campaign is “Ngayong Bagong Taon, Gusto Mo Ba Ng Saya o Disgrasya, Huwag Kang Magpaputok”.


As of December 23, 2010, below are the list of allowed firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices:

Firecrackers:

  1. Baby Rocket
  2. Bawang
  3. Small “Triangulo”
  4. Pulling of Strings
  5. Paper Cups
  6. “El Diablo”
  7. Judah’s Belt
  8. Sky Rocket
  9. Other types equivalent to the foregoing in explosives content

Pyrotechnic Devices:

  1. Sparklers
  2. “Luces”
  3. Fountain
  4. Jumbo Regular and Special
  5. “Mabuhay”
  6. Roman Candle
  7. “Trompillo”
  8. Airwolf
  9. Whistle Device
  10. Butterfly
  11. All Kinds of Pyrotechnic Devices (pailaw)
  12. Other types equivalent to the foregoing devices.

As of December 22, 2010 list of   Banned Firecrackers

  1. Piccolo

  2. Pla-pla
  3. 5 -Star
  4. Atomic Bomb
  5. Triangulo
  6. Super Lolo
  7. Boga
  8. Watusi

In case there are other kinds of firecrackers higher/more explosive than those in the list of banned firecrackers, consider it as illegal.
